Filter Regulators and Lubricators

Air preparation within pneumatic systems is critical to ensure the correct functioning of downstream components that would otherwise fail through over-pressurisation, moisture ingress, particle contamination or the lack of lubrication.

Pressure regulators prevent damage to system components caused by over-pressurisation. Pressure regulators set to a maximum tolerance prevent pressures from rising beyond an acceptable pressure level.

Filters remove moisture and particles from the incoming air feed to prevent downstream components from becoming non-responsive through contamination. Filtration grades are in microns (µm). Filtration grades from 5 µm to 20 µm are sufficient for most standard pneumatic components.

Lubricators inject a light mist of lubricating oil into a compressed air system at a predefined flow. Lubricators assist in properly functioning moving components that require the regular oiling of internal working parts to maintain responsive operation.

Air preparation devices are supplied as an individual unit or provided as a custom combination which includes filtration, regulation and lubrication into one space-saving lightweight and compact design. These are typically FRs (filter regulators) or FRLs (filter regulators and lubricators).
